Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival | South Australia UNESCO winner

Partner with a UNESCO winner

Our Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival was one of four recipients honoured by UNESCO, Adelaide Chapter in 2015 ‘for an outstanding contribution to the regional cultural life of South Australia, promoting all facets of the Arts, and cultural tourism.’

The Festival has grown to become “one of South Australia’s leading arts festivals,” said Mrs Helen Rice, Adelaide United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Chairperson.

In 2013 our Festival was awarded an South Australian Regional Award, from Brand South Australia. This award highlights individuals or organisations that have made significant contribution to their region and the State over a twelve month period.

A long history of success

Our Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival will be celebrating it’s 29th year in 2020. This is an amazing effort for a non-profit organisation run by a passionate committee of volunteers.

Our Festival celebrates the literary and arts heritage of Penola, the fine wines of Coonawarra and its premium regional produce. Since its inception, our Festival has attracted major events and exhibitions that appeal a broad demographic. This is a festival that truly has no age limit.
