Many flowers and plants have been used around the World during and after wartime as a symbolic means of remembrance, honour and bereavement. Artisans include Hennie Hitch, Lois Hodge, Fleur Harlock, Jo Dixon, Nicole Johnson, Pam Crouch, Andy Clifford, David Johns, Valmai DeGaris. The RSL will be awash with colour.

Join local artist Julia Reader as she teaches you how to create botanical inspired artwork as inspiration. We’ll be using a combination of water colours and inks to paint in a loose and flowing style. No experience necessary. Julia Reader is a Limestone Coast artist, inspired by the colours, shapes and textures of nature, especially Australian native flora and fauna.

Let’s hear it for a ‘joyful strain’. Particularly in the morning! The Great Goers, raconteur and Adelaide Fringe Award winner returns for an outing of his gags, yarns and pathos particularly for old people. Peter Goers presents the Evening Show on 891 ABC Radio across South Australia, having worked in show business all his life in one form or another – from theatre, directing and acting. He is devoted to his country listeners and has recently launched his book “Self-Indulgent Maddening Crap”.

Opening of a new Art Exhibition which explores the myriad of colours reflected in the vines as they renew, mature and seasons change. Anne is a self-taught award winning artist having won the prestigious 2020 Biblio Art Prize. Abstract painting brings a new dimension combining technique and feeling.

Balnaves of Coonawarra

An exhibition of acrylic on canvas paintings that takes a whimsical look at some of our black and white feathered friends. Karin Seja is a talented graphic designer and for 40 years has been involved closely with Balnaves of Coonawarra, having designed the Balnaves logo. Recently retired, she has picked up the paint brushes to exhibit, returning to her student days and dusted off the paint brushes – still learning and loving it! The exhibition stars our black and white feathery friends, who reside on the Balnaves property.

Forged Art is hand crafted ornamental metalwork by Bruce Willmer of Pathaway. Weldz & Wood is metal art and timber products by Toni Greenwood of Millicent. Paintings by artist Julie Kent from Casterton.
